Samsung LCD TV broken after 1.5 years

Nov 4, 2010 12:58PM PDT

My LN37B530 is already broken after only 1.5 years.
The screen just went black (althopugh audio is OK).

Samsung support has been of no help since I'm outside the warranty period.

Hope this may warn people not to trust this company.

butor20022,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your unit.

Do you have a transaction number from your call to Samsung's customer service? I can't promise any change, but I'd like to have someone review your case.

No tranasaction number was given to me.
BTW, I'm in Canada and I phoned the canadian branched of Samsung.

I understand that even the best manufacturers have a certain rate of failure. That I'm willing to accept. But the way customers are treated is a major turn off.

The unit is still under the extended warranty of my credit card, so I'll get reimbursed after a lot of hassle and will likely go for another brand.
