Samsung LCD Monitor

Dec 13, 2010 2:04AM PST

I have one LCD Monitor SAMSUNG Syncmatser 923 NW ( 19") that had its resolution changed and from than it turns on and immediately turns black. If I turn off / on it shows the screen and immediately gets back to black / no image.

What is the best resolution to this LCD monitor and how many bits and hertz ? Your information and guidance will be appreciated

You said nothing about the system you are using, so it is difficult to say whether it is a system issue or a monitor issue, need more information.

so try setting your computer video to close to that and maybe setting the refresh rate to either 60/70hz and see what happen.

Tests done

I made the test with a desk top computer. First using my cable, and happened the same problem, than with another cable connected to the desk top computer, and the problem remains the same, the screen pops up and two seconds later becomes black without any image.

I placed the settings you suggested and the problem continues.

If it does the same thing with a desktop hook up and then changing cables (assuming VGA hook up) the my assumption would be that the monitor is toast.

You are perfectly correct. I'm going to buy a new, its cheapest (almost) than repairing. Thank you very much
