Samsung lcd 550 as monitor

Jan 20, 2011 2:18AM PST

I have a Samsung LCD 550 1080p TV that I want to use as a monitor.
Is there a way to increase the resolution above 1920x1080. I have ev3a GTS450 video board that supports to 2560.

"will it support 2560"?

I would say..that depend; if the card can produce 2560 at a 60hz. refresh rate (that's likely the tv's refresh rate). But will it give you better detail display? I will say no, but it might appears to be more detail because the graphics will be smaller (I am talking about using vga here). So give it a try, you might like it ..or you might not.
