I see a live chat and also a phone #.
There's a good chance your OS is locked to the original mobo so you want an exact replacement unless you want to buy a new OS.

Motherboard of my NP300E5A-S08AU laptop died a couple of weeks ago. Where can I buy a new motherboard? Can model BA92-09190A replace my old S08AU motherboard as they look alike?

Thanks for the input. I tried to chat with Sumsung yesterday, but they were all busy. Then I sent them an email (waiting for a reply). I bought the notebook from Australia a few years ago (I live in the US now).
I have always used Debian. So I don't need the OS. Do you think any NP300E5A mobo would work with my laptop? ( I plan to buy one from Ebay).
I really appreciate your help guys.
I completely agree with you. I won't pay that much for a motherboard. I have a new notebook. But I'm just trying to see if I can buy something cheaper like this on Ebay and fix my old laptop, and give it to a family member or use it for some other purpose like a server.
If you want to play go for it.
Be prepared to send the thing back.
Looks like about a 100 buck shot.
What's the part number on the mobo you have?
I don't want to make a mistake, and that's exactly why I'm here seeking information, guidance and advice from you guys. If it's not worth the trouble then I'm not going to waste my money on this.
Here's the model number: BA92-09185B
Here's a A/B model.

What's the difference between A+B....beats me.
If Samsung ever comes back to you ask them.
It's your call if you want to chase this.
I like the link I gave as it gives us a clue these models share the form factor. That's as good as I found.
