Samsung L40a450 lcd tv - noise when I turn on the receiver

Feb 27, 2009 9:03PM PST

I have a Samsung LN40a450 lcd tv and when I turn on the receiver for my speakers, the tv makes a horrible nosie. If I turn on the mute button then you have the mute symbol in the middle of the screen during the movie. Only solution I found is to turn the volume on the TV down to 0.

any other solution?

msherlaw,

You can mute the television speakers altogether. With your remote, press:

Menu > Sound > TV Speaker > Off

This will allow no sound from the television, and won't display the speaker mute icon. If you need more help, the instructions are available (with pictures) on page 38.
