When I want to use a Samsung KBD I want to see it in the Accessories link but that keyboard is not there. I also don't see VG-KBD2500 listing your 40 inch TV.
Who told you this worked? Get back to them now.

I am trying to sync a Samsung wireless keyboard (VG-KBD2500) with my new Samsung smart TV (UN40JU640DFXZA). I had no problem hooking up my 65 inch TV with another same keyboard, but when following the online and instructional guidance (user manual and youtube video), It still won't sync. I tried TV System, device manager, Keyboard settings, but then It goes straight to Keyboard options and says a keyboard is connected. My keyboard, however, only turns the TV on and off, with no other functionality. I never got the keyboard screen that offered keyboard connection like I did with my other TV.
I believe this TV and keyboard should be compatible, but not being to savvy in the area, I may be overlooking something obvious.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you, I will. Yes, that is the model. Upon further review, I don't think it is compatible in any way. I don't believe there is a keyboard to sync since the TV does not support Bluetooth.
The Logitech K400. Sorry, no on/off but maybe the Logitech Harmony Hub system can do it all.
so... you think my TV might recognize this USB device? I would imagine the K400 plus might work as well. It would be comforting to know if anyone else had prior luck with my TV.
Thank you for your reply
Good Afternoon,
I apologize for the inconvenience. This particular television is not compatible with the Samsung wireless keyboard as the unit does not have a Bluetooth built inside.
You can try using a third party keyboard that is HID compliant, however we cannot guarantee the compatibility.
