Samsung iphone remote app trouble. HELP NEEDED please!

by DJLUFC / July 3, 2011 4:37 AM PDT

Hi everybody, i was wondering if anyone could help, when trying to connect my iphone to my tv i stupidly pressed deny instead of allow and now i can not even find my tv's connection with my phone. So i was wondering if anyone know how to reverse this process so i can have the option to allow this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Your sincerely
Dan

Same sort of problem - no second chance to validate
by MVMike--2008 / October 21, 2011 3:16 PM PDT

I have almost same issue except I missed clicking Allow on the tv before it disappeared. Now when I restart the remote app, it says it can't find the tv on the network when in fact the tv is fully on the same network and streaming video just fine. I've deleted the app and reloaded but no joy. It's like you only get one chance to validate the app

Answer
try disconnecting the network

on your iphone, rebooting the iphone, recconect and try again, that might reset the tv's list of what it denies or doesn't.

Answer
use Samsung menu option
by Badweed01 / November 4, 2011 8:33 AM PDT

I had this same problem, finally found the option in the TV menu system.
You have to dig deep (scroll the screen options)
Go to:
Menu \ System \ General \ Network Remote Control

Any remote that previously attempted to connect, and then by timeout was denied should show
delete the entry, and retry from the iphone/android remote.

Youre awesome!

Thanks Badweed. I'd only been in that menu once when I first got the tv and had never been back to notice the iPad listed there. When the iPod failed it was blocked as you said. Easy flip to ALLOW. Samsungs crack customer service team tried to tell me my iPod must be bad. Real nice. Again, thanks a million!!

Moved

It appears the settings for this have been moved to Menu \ System \ Network Remote Control.

Unfortunately my Samsung tv ( one year old) does not have Network Remote Control in the Menu/System/General path. I've tried all menu options but it does not appear to be there. Any suggestions?
I accidentally pressed deny as you all did.
Thanks
