Samsung HTTZ512 Optical IN Issue

by gutierrez1904 / January 14, 2009 3:51 AM PST

Hopefully someone here can help me. I've tried calling Samsung directly and its the same thing everytime. I have a 50" Samsung TV (5076S) and just purchased the HTTZ512 Samsung Surround Sound. I've tried countless times to connect the Optical Audio OUT from the TV to the Optical Audio IN from the Surround sound and nothing. I've changed cables 4 times already and nothing. PLEASE HELP!! Is there any other configuration that I need to do? I've also tried doing the "automatic mute" from the TV that the customer service agents insist on and still nothing.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having some issues getting your Home Theater set up.

What input are you using on the Home Theater to accept the incoming signal?

Also, what is the full model number of the television?

Thanks for the quick response. Im putting it on "P-In" on the Home Theater. I have tried the regular RCA cables on Aux 2 and it works fine, but the optical is the one giving me issues. The television model is Samsung HL-T5076S. I was actually on the phone with them last night for about an hour and they couldn't figure it out. They ended up giving me the address to send it in to their tech guys, but hoenstly, its a brand new system. It shouldnt have anything wrong with it.

But if it's not performing as it should be, then it may need service. I think that's the spirit of what service is saying. If you're still within the time frame, you may be able to return the unit and exchange it for a new one from where you purchased it.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
