Samsung HT-Z310 echos

Hi, I just got the Samsung HT-Z310 surround sound system. I wanted to have my tv's (LN-S3251D) audio play through the surround sound so I hooked the left and right audio out from my tv to the left and right audio inputs of the Samsung HT-Z310. The sound plays fine except all of the speech seems to echo. I tried all the settings such as Pro Logic II, matrix, stereo...ect. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I actually just found out what was wrong. The audio was playing from the tv and the surround sound, this was causing the echoing.
