Samsung HT-E6500W - Can't set default input when I power up?

Dec 12, 2012 3:19PM PST

I have a Samsung UN60ES8000 TV and just connected a Samsung HT-E6500W to it.

Prior to adding the Home Theater System, the default input would be my cable box when it powered up. I had nothing to worry about when powering up.

After connecting the Samsung HT-E6500W, the start screen is the Welcome screen where I have to scroll over and then select my input.

Is there any way to make my default input (in my case) HDMI 2 when I power up?

I'm finding this to be so tedious to have to select the input EVERYTIME I power up.

Thanks for your help and input.

Hi kevs888,

There is one way: you have to turn off Anynet+, as this is how Anynet+ works.

Thanks for your reply.

But, turning off AnyNet also will require me to use 2 remotes?

Hi kevs888,

Yep, you're right. It will require you use two remotes if you turn off Anynet+.
