Samsung: HT-BD3252 rear speaker problem

by SixteenthMatt / September 7, 2010 2:27 PM PDT

I bought the Samsung HT-BD3252 home theater system a few months ago and it has been playing great except for one annoying problem.

Every so often the wireless rear speakers will become VERY loud and scratchy while playing audio that comes from the rear for about 10 seconds. The rear speakers then start popping, cracking, and then I loose all audio for a second from the entire system. During the pause in audio the unit displays "rear check". Afterward the audio resumes as normal. This problems sometimes happens a few times a day.

I have noticed the problem while playing Blu-rays and while playing an Xbox360 which connects through the HDMI port on the rear of the unit.

I recently updated the firmware on the unit today in hopes of solving the issue but it has not helped. Everything else seems to work fine, I'm just having issues with the rear speakers. If anyone else has been having similar problems or has a solution it would be helpful. Thanks for the help.
