Samsung HT-BD2E

I just purchased this model from Sears on 2/25/2010 and soon as I hooked it up I tried useing the dvd. First off when putting a dvd in this machine it is loading but nothing comes up. Second when I try to eject the dvd nothing happens. Is this a firmware problem? Or should I just scrap this model and return it? Thank you very much for any help.

Eaglestalon,

Try holding down the FF>> button for 12 seconds to see if it performs a reset.

There is a firmware update available on the website that you could try. The file and instructions can be downloaded here:

HT-BD2ET freezing issues

I keep having the same problem as everyone else. I purchased the product last Jan of 2009 and I am past the warranty date. Everything worked great until I updated the firmwear a couple of months ago. Now I cant even get into the movie, once it starts to play it freezes up on every movie when I get to the motion picture rating or even earlier. Everything just freezes up. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do?

HT-BD2ET freezing issues

thebrocness,

If the unit continues to freeze and the firmware update doesn't fix the issue, I would recommend having the unit serviced. You can do this by calling 800-SAMSUNG or filling out the online service request form here:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/main/supportMain.do

You will want to note that the firmware update didn't fix the issue.
