Samsung HP-T4254 turning off

Feb 19, 2009 11:36AM PST

hi-

i'm hoping someone can help with thisHappy. i got home tonight to find that when trying to change the input source from a Tivo remote and then a Comcast remote, that pressing the TV would turn off. when trying to change the source from the side panel of the TV, i found that the buttons are inactive. (i'm not sure where the Samsung remote that came with the TV is, btw.)

i've tried unplugging it but that didn't help.

thanks in advance for any ideas.

pressing the TV Input buttons on either remote turn the TV off - not just the TV power buttons...

Try a different code...

bnfinit,

I would try a different code on either one of those universal remotes. Often times, there are several codes that might seem "to be the same" because Power, Channel Up/Down and Volume all work, but when you start using other commands, they don't work so well. Often time, trying a new code and then re-trying to command inputs you want will do the trick.
