Resolved Question

SAMSUNG HOME CINEMA

Nov 8, 2011 5:48PM PST

Hello - just set up my new Samsung LED and 5.1 home cinema. And I seem to have a couple of odd problems:

1. If the Cinema unit is on the terristorial TV channels come up with a message saying poor signal - and has no picture. When i switch off the cinema unit I get a perfect picture back.

2. Does the 5.1 speakers work for all - DVD, TV, Cable - it seems all 5 speakers only work with DVD. For normal TV only 1 speaker seems to be working - does this make sense?

It would help if you gave us the Samsung Home Cinema model number and what and how things are connected.

Hi - thanks for replying - the home cinema is a HT D5100 -in the back of the TV there is 1) TV aerial input 2) LAN to wireless hub 3) EXT RGB (Scart ) to SKY Satelitte 4) HDM (2) to home Cinema 5) Digit audio out (optical cable) to home cinema ..... think that's the lot

Sorry didn't get back to you sooner. I haven't had a chance to look at the user guide but in the interim turn off anynet.
Also, you have antenna input )I guess that's what you mean by terrestial) as well as boardband with Sky, hdmi and digital audio?

Hi - by Anynet - you mean the Home Cinema unit - that will restore the antenna input (terrestrial)
With the Home cinema on I can see the guide - that works OK
any the other day I did get a weak signal on one channel and then lost it Sad

Yep - broadband, sky, hdmi/digital optical
