Samsung_HD_Tech Be Advised

Feb 1, 2009 6:17PM PST

A Hard Working Samsung Customer has spoken out.
The Samsung Forum Is In Your Hands Now...

I am deeply concerned about the future of Samsung's reputation. I am also concerned that the work that Samsung_HD_Techs provide here will come to an abrupt end sooner rather than later brought about by unproven accusations and threats of litigation. One example is the theory brought to this forum by Toodles69 and other members of AVS Forum that Samsung is engaging in Bait And Switch with the internal components and panel.

Toodles69 Irrational Personal Vendetta Against Samsung

But there?s something more with Toodles69 vile hatred for Samsung expressed in AVS Forum. Something that I can?t put my finger on. Is it ignorance or malice that stokes Toodles69 fire. I honestly can?t say why Toodles69, iVersatile, Tvidiot post within minutes of each other at all hours of the day and night bragging on AVS Forum about how they're about to drag a certain company through the mud but it raises questions when we?re on one of the most significant forums Cnet Samsung Forum the net has to offer, I thought it might be worthwhile to take a quick look at Toodles69 odd infatuation with Samsung.

If you do a search for Toodles69 you?ll discover she uses the following phrase to communicate her thoughts "Wanna play a game....let's play.....F&CKER!" (gasp!)

She has implied on this forum many times that Samsung puts cheap panels inside Samsung TVs and charged Samsung with not responding and then she proceeded to milk 23 posts out of it.

To Toodles69 credit, many in the Cnet Samsung Forum fell for it including and jumped on her bandwagon. Ultimately Samsung and Samsung Tech didn't bite and passed after threats of litigation were made. Toodles69 then proceeded to pump up her claims and crow about Samsungs alleged scandal not without first bringing a few friends and apperently disgruntled Samsung Customers over from AVS Forum who she claimed is the originator of the allegations of Bait and Switch against Samsung.

Following is a History Of Events In A Chronological Context:

1/17/09 6:47 AM Toodles69 Claims the following: "After reading a million posts at AVS, it seems most people notice similar things, but I really don't want to accept this as "normal". The viewing angle is also pretty bad"

1/17/09 6:47 AM Toodles69 Posts to a Samsung HD Tech and Claims the following: "very noticeable "falshlighting" in corners and pretty bad "backlight bleeding" on sides enough to be noticed by most people".

1/18/09 1:36 PM A Samsung HD Tech responds to Toodles69 claims with the following: "I'd definitely recommend a service on it.", "then let's get it looked at" and "Let's error on the side of caution and set up a service ticket at 800-SAMSUNG."

1/19/09 The Samsung HD Tech For the "second" time advises her: "it's best to get it serviced".

1/18/09 2:11 PM Toodles69 tells a Samsung HD Tech: "these are slight anomalies" and will be calling Samsung "soon"

1/22/09 10:52 AM Toodles69 Acknowleges she "does not" have clouding.

1/27/09 5:19 PM Toodles69 claims: only flashlights then she yells (cap lock) "PROMINENT" and "pretty distracting"

1/28/09 8:31 AM Toodles69 contradicts herself again: now claims she has "flashlights" and "clowding" and "and blotching"

*** Then on On 1/28/09 1:57 Eleven Days of accusations later guess what, Toodles69 Acknowleges "her flashlights were pretty "weak" and she is "going to keep" it". ***

The truth is that Samsungs biggest offense in the eyes of Toodles69 is being a Samsung. But you know what, Samsung immediately responded to customer Toodles69 questions and concernes on or before and on 1/18/09 1:36 PM through A Samsung HD Tech.

Next to Toodles69 Samsung is as clean as a whistle. And while we know that Toodles69 has already been distributing multi-post attacks on Cnet Samsung Forum and on AVS Forum (uncensored) Samsung HD Tech if not already should be made aware. I think the only credible thing Toodles69 has said was on 1/28/09 1:57 "flashlights were pretty "weak" and she (Toodles69) is "going to keep" it. Unfortunately she chose to milk almost 23 post and Eleven Days littered with Accusations first.

Whatever Toodles69 deal with Samsung is, it?s weird and it seems all too personal.

Naturally, it wouldn't be professional in my position to treat any forum member differently than any other. I haven't in the past, am not in the present and I won't in the future.

I treat everyone equally, and with respect.

I appreciate your concern regarding this forum and its future. To the best of my knowledge, this program, and my role in it, is indeed moving forward and not going away.

I'm nothing but optimistic for this program based on realistic proof of increased visitorship, growing participation, forum members helping each other out and praise we receive. I've seen instances where I've given the answer to someone, and they turn and share the knowledge to someone new who asks the same question before I can get to the post - which is harder to do since we're getting more questions every day. That's awesome, and I'm thrilled to be here.

blotching?
Feb 3, 2009 12:00AM PST

Parachute mender,
If i wanted to trash Samsung, I would not be taking part in normal threads where I offered help and explanations in what I know, when people asked simple questions on operating the TV, ho to find certain menu functions, and even on how to make flashlights less apparent etc; Perhaps you didn't read THOSE posts.

I did question doubts and suspicions I had, and the research for those things were not done by me; There's no point writing a huge post about this, it's not worth it, because I am sure you would not care to check on that.
Also, I never threatened anyone with litigation.

Also, where did i say my TV has "blotching" and clouding on 1/28? can you post the link to that thread/post? I never had clouding OR blotching, and never stated I did.
I have a feeling that you read a post by me where I quoted a DIFFERENT post from a different member here; Often, when I need to do that I copy and paste the relevant part above my response, and as there no QUOTE function on this forum, It looks like a part of my post; I also couldn't make it bold/italics to show that I am quoting someone.

I hope Samsung HD tech uses his own judgement to be fair and take a look at what's really going on, and what really is justified;
The topic of a/c/s panel is not limited to avs or cnet:
it's being discusses in many other countries, particularly Europe.

Why are you bringing me into it? I don't know you, get off my back man. I'm just a person who spent his hard earned money on a Samsung HDTV (Which i love, except for the flashlighting)If you only knew how long i have been buying Samsung products.

So stop it with all this, It's pointless. you don't know me, just as i don't know you. We come here for help, not to start arguements, and stop being a stalker, it's creepy. You are getting way to in depth over something that's not even worth it.

Just so you know.

Just so you know, i own two SAMSUNG HDTV's and i love the hell out of my A650, No clouding no flashlighting. And i have never complained about it, it's a beautiful TV.

The other one i purchased is the one with the flashlighting problems.

just like to add
Feb 3, 2009 8:03AM PST

and I'd also like to add that I have 2 Samsung PC monitors (s panels LOL), and had 2 CRT Samsung TVs too; I have always liked them, and never had a problem.
the flashlighting disappointments is what led me to look more into what's going on with the current ones, and I don't think questioning what you find to be abnormal (esp. when it's being reported everywhere) is a crime.
