I'd try the factory reset and if that fails it sounds like a hardware issue. Just like cars and laptops, we need longer warranties. As to throw away, why not have it fixed since that's less than replacement costs.
When I switched on my tablet on Friday morning it said 'Update' at the bottom right corner, I clicked on this and it switched off then a google symbol appeared in the middle of the screen with the words 'No Command' below it, I sent a message to google and they sent back a list of things to do but none of them work, I can get nothing but the symbol, the tablet is only 18 months old, can anyone help or do I have to throw it away?
