Samsung Gear S2 Delay Issues and Shazam

I got my gray Gear S2 on Friday and I've had a couple questions and concerns.

I've noticed there's a 5 second delay between when my phone receives a text message or notification. It's pretty annoying because first of all I spent $300 on this and 2nd what's the point of it if it's quicker if I just pull out my phone and take care of it there. Isn't that what smartwatches are for?

Also I remember seeing in the keynote that there was a Shazam app. I can't seem to find it so if anybody knows where to get it or if it's not out yet I'd love to hear.

what phone?

problem could be the phone, not the watch. are you running any type of launcher? If so try disabling it to see if it is the cause.

as far as the shazam app, most likely not available yet for the watch. From what I read, there are very few compatible apps for it at this time. Watch is too new.

Sounds much better than a year ago.

Folk reported 30+ Second delays. Don't take this personally but you may be one of the "I want it now" generation. That is, such notifications are best delayed a little to save battery power.
