Question

Samsung Galaxy Tab3 10.1" - flashplayer

Jan 23, 2014 7:43PM PST

Hi,

Since Flashplayer is not supported on Android 4.2, I downloaded version 11.1 of Flashplayer from the archive as suggested. It downloaded OK. However, when I try to play anything that uses flashplayer, I get an error message saying there is no flashplayer on my table. Help!

Make the call.

Call it in and if they can't accommodate or fix, consider this area is one of the problems of Android tablets. That is, folk expect these to do everything a PC does. And with the indecisiveness of Adobe, you may find that Android and Apple tablets are not a good choice for Flash.

I continue to bump into folk learning that Android is the new Windows. Plenty of bugs and limitations.

If you really want all that you can do on a PC, look up that Asus T100. It's on my list but haven't pulled the trigger.

Answer
You can go directly to the Adobe Flash

site and download versions of flash. The Play Store no longer has flash. Hopefully soon websites will be converted over to HTML and you won't need flash anymore.

Why it is needed

The embedded videos are smoothly running on my tab. Is there any other purpose to download flash player separately.

Answer
That is an Android problem

as they stopped supporting Flash and removed it from the Play store. Soon HTML5 will saturate the web and flash won't be needed.
