I recently encountered a similar case, my phone suddenly shows green screen and one day, it just decides to go BLANK. The screen no longer works, but the phone still works perfectly. I would say that your screen is almost BUSTED. But no worries, as long as there are no internal hardware issue on the motherboard. You can replace the screen then you're all set.
What I would recommend you to do first is to backup your data ASAP before you cannot access your phone's screen. It would be great if you know someone or a store that can replace the screen for you. Taking it directly to Samsung will be expensive, and at that point, you might as well, change a new phone. One word of advise is, don't put your phone in your back pocket or apply too much pressure in your front pocket (wearing tighter jeans etc). That is how I got my issue. Phone these days are extremely sensitive with its screen, so the best way is to treat the screen with extra protection.
Hello,
Like many other users, I have a problem with the screen of my Galaxy S7 Edge: it becomes green to 4/5 (sometimes completely), even locked.
I can stabilize it for a while by putting it in a strong light - after setting it with maximum brightness.
When I do not have a strong enough external light, I use a flashlight that I plate on the light sensor.
Is the screen really damn? Can not it be a pb of software (I have not yet tested the hard reset), connectivity (internal ribbon connection) or light sensor?
The bad sign is that the phenomenon seems to worsen with time as the screen stays on. Then, cool, he works better.
To have it repaired would cost me more than the price I paid for it.
I bought it only 2 months ago (about 350 &euro
. The warranty does not work because I am opposed the fact that this pb would be due to a shock or a pressurization.
As he did not take a shock (especially since it was completely protected by a shell) and that the screen started to stop working while I was using it normally, I 'concluded that it had to be' pressurized 'in my back pocket before. Which is completely unacceptable for a device of this price.
If anyone can help me, it would be nice.
