1. Let me rewrite the first one as "How can I find what is using storage memory in Android?"
That has been kicked around for years so let's find that.
The top 3 hits are what I read.
2. The second issue appears to be the old USB doesn't connect issue. For that I pull out my good USB cable. many are junk. Also, many owners are completely lost as to USB drivers for phones. I like XDA Forums if the maker doesn't call out which USB driver to install.
That out of the way I cheat. I use Dropbox and ES File Explorer to sync without a cable.
The main thing is to ask if anyone has a fix for a particular problem i have on my Samsung Galaxy s4 (White).
Basically, my application data is showing up at 4.94GB in settings when after adding up the total data usage of ALL my installes apps, it barely scrapes 2GB. In fact, it doesn't hit 2GB with it being around 1.9GB. So why is so much extra space being used by files that don't exist? And how do i fix this? I would simply reset to factory settings, but i can't back up my photos or music to my PC because my laptop says "The last USB device you plugged in malfunctioned and Windows did not recognise it" whenever i plug in my phone. So fix for that would be greatly appreciated too if anyone has one. Cheers.
