Samsung now stopped caring for S3 models. They stopped giving updates for this phone. The points that you have mentioned above are true and fair but no one can go and fight with them now as this phone is now outdated. I suggest you to go for a new phone i/o spending Rs.7000.
I bought Samsung Galaxy S3 three years back when it was launched in India. I was one among the early adopters and a great fan of Samsung then. Now, am experiencing an issue with my phone, where there is no voice on incoming & outgoing calls. Also, the network disappears after the phone is active for 5-10s on the call. A quick Google search revealed that I am not the only one who is facing this problem, but many users across globe have complained about the same, in some cases just after few days of usage. The Samsung service center has quoted Rs. 7000 for Motherboard replacement as an alternative to resolve the issue. I have two questions:
1. When this is a well known issue and an inherent flaw with the phone, not caused by any mishandling or misuse by the user..why should I bear this cost again?
2. Also, my phone seems to be working in all respect except this, then why is there is only this alternative of complete mother board replacement?
