Question

Samsung Galaxy S3 after Factory Reset

Feb 16, 2016 6:16PM PST

I did the factory reset on my galaxy S3 and when it re started for the fresh setup I keep getting the error Google account stopped working. I tried so many things as suggested online but I am still stuck on the same page. I can not get to settings at all. Google has blocked the phone I suppose.
Need help please someone can tell me what to do? I called Samsung support who told me to take it to their technician and they will charge $45 to fix.

I have no google account until I set that up. Tell exactly what you are doing after the reset.

The Google account was there prior to me doing the factory reset. This phone belonged to my wife and when she upgraded to another phone I did the factory reset to wipe out the data so My daughter can use the same phone with fresh setup.

After I done the factory reset the phone reboots itself stating its done and starts fresh as country then time zone , wifi then set time by then the pop up takes over saying that google account has stopped working and when I click ok to proceed to next it comes again and again and I just go in circles. It wont go to next setup. I have restarted the phone several times but I still get stuck on the same page....

Something's not right yet. Be sure to remove the memory card and if a SIM pull that too for a moment. Do not setup email. Skip all that and just factory reset again. If that fails, there's something broken with the phone. 45 bucks to fix would be a bargain.

Firstly it is not me doing the cross posting as you thought.
I have seen so many other people are having the same problem like me and every one is asking the same questions but there was never a concrete answer how to fix the issue.

I also seen the videos that you pointed me via the link and did what he suggested but nope nothing happened. So I am still stuck with my problem hoping someone will point me to the right direction.
Otherwise at the end of the day i will have to take it to the technician of Samsung.....

So did you load new or other firmware?

It's the only option other than Samsung I see. Wish I could give the phone a spin now that you tried it without the memory or SIM card as well as the video.
