Question

samsung galaxy s2 batteries

Sep 11, 2013 5:29PM PDT

Hi there!
Have a quick question...How much life do you get out of your battery.? .How many hours?
Also looking to get a new battery. .dont want to be buying a fake battery...Anybody know how to identify a fake battery by description or appearance apart from th the obvious that the battery is draining?
Thanks

Answer
Battery life.....

.....depends on the age of the battery, how often it is charged, how many times it has been charged since new.

Your best bet when looking for a replacement is seeing the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) designation in the product description, but no guarantee it isn't counterfeit. There are no definitive answers to your questions.

Phone is 1yr old. majority of apps has been uninstalled. Charged every night. Only get approx 7hrs of battery life despite deactivating wifi, gps having power saving mode in place. Charging phone only when it is going dead. Take off charge when it is full . don't unnecessary charge phone. Increased frequency of charging since bought from new

TRUE! Expected!

The battery is the common one (LiOn) and has about a 300 cycle rating. Cell phones get about 18 months to better on one battery and at one year you should see it start to degrade. The makers call the battery bad when it gets to 50% capacity.

All this is well discussed so what I write is a summary.

Depends on many things.

It's a shame you didn't supply why you asked since on Android I found apps that are AD supported seem to really drain the battery. I see this written up at
http://www.androidauthority.com/ad-suported-android-apps-battery-drain-65716/

As to the fake battery, I've yet to find one. But I buy names like Sedio and of course the maker's battery. Buying a battery is a rare event, why skimp?
