Samsung Galaxy S Phones: GPS Issues

Does anyone know if Samsung is working on a fix for the GPS problems on these phones? I am using a Fascinate, and it takes 5 - 10 minutes for my GPS to start working.

I have also read on the Android Forum that the GPS may work better once the phone gets Froyo. Can anyone confirm that?

I suggest heading over to Howardforums for that discussion

You will no doubt find some tidbits on the GPS situation over there. I recall at least one thread recently on that matter.

That sounds normal.

If you research GPS "cold start" times that is consistent with a GPS cold start.

If Froyo implements a hot or warm GPS start the times might go lower. This is not an offer to duplicate the web about GPS hot, warm or cold starts.
