I've discovered that the SD Card has to be formatted in the Tablet, before files are transferred 
Hi,
Can anyone advise me how to use an External SD Card which is inserted in the SD Slot just to the right of the Volume buttons ?
I copied a few MP3 files and some JPG files from my laptop, to the SD card, using a USB/SD adaptor, but when I insert the SD card in the tablet's SD slot and select the 'extSdCard', it just shows a folder Icon and text 'No Files'.
I've checked that the files are definitely present on the card.
I can't find any reference to the use of the External SD Card in the GT-N8010 User Manual.
