I have family videos and photos on a hard drive connected to my ATT router and thats connected by eithernet cable to my Samsung Smart Bluray player. I like to access the hard drive through the Samsung bluray player via its multimedia option where I can access the hard drive and watch the videos and photos on my big screen plasma tv.
The problem is that for the videos from the samsung galaxy s7 phone are not bein recognized by the blu ray player. all of the photos from the s7 phone are recognized along with all photos and videos from another phone and also photos and videos from a couple sony cybershot cameras including AVI videos. all except those videos only from the s7 phone are not recognized by the bluray player.
All files are first loaded on that external hard drive then accessed by the blurayplayer via eithhernet cable to the att uverse router which the hard drive is connected to.
It all works very well except for those videos from that Galaxy S7 phone which the bluray player does not see.
I tried looking at the security tabs for those videos and comparing them to the security settings of other videos which the blu ray played does recognize and I see no difference.
The video format from this Samsung S7 edge phone is mp4. the other videos the bluray player recognizes are mp4 also. I tried changing the file name of the s7's video files to a '.mp4. at the end, or add 'VID_" at the beginning but nothingmade them recognizable.
