Samsung Edge S7 Dials Another Number!

I have a Refurbished Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 that I bought from Amazon. The phone looked perfectly new when I got it and worked that way except for 1 big issue. When I try to call a contact number it redirects the call to a number in Los Angeles, Ca. It always says, "The number is being redirected by Sim" and it always dials the same number. I have to dial every number that I want to call manually. When I received this phone I put my own sim card in it from my previous phone. There are a few contact numbers that it will let me use but they are all out of my area code.
Does anyone have any ideas for me?

This sounds like a SIM hijack issue.

But back to Verizon to have them sort it out.

So that's what happened to my old phone.....

I used to have a Verizon Samsung S7 Edge.

Just kidding of course, never heard of that type of issue .......

Someone that worked on a team developing cellular based GPS trackers. What you have sounds like an old hijack situation. If so, Verizon gets to fix it.

turn on the "locator" function in the phone.

Worked for my wife's S7 Tracfone model. Also, remove any leading "1" in front of long distance phone numbers, that may be causing it. For instance if 1-800-555-1212, change to 800-555-1212

Location Turned On

My "Location" is turned on in "Settings" "Location"...I also tried turning off the app "Verizon Location Agent" to see if that would do it, but it had no effect. Thanks for you response.
