Samsung dual DVD VHS player model #4600C

I have Windows DVD Maker thru Windows Vista. I cannot play my home videos with my samsung dual dvd vhs. It loads for a long time but it won't play. I use DVD rewriteable discs. I can play it im my Sony DVD player but not samsung. What must I do to get my Windows Vista dvds to play thru samsung?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

What model of DVD/VHS player do you have? If they are encoded with a Windows Media format, that may not be a supported video format for the player. The list of supported formats would be available in the owner's manual, but I'd be happy to assist if I knew which model you have.

What files are the movies being encoded into?

A quick look suggests some DVD/VHS models don't support re-writable discs (+RW, -RW) - check your user guide. Region code settings may be different on the PC DVD and the Samsung. The other option likely to cause failure is selection of wrong NTSC-PAL option. Also, try burning at slower speeds.
