Samsung doesn't do 'Warranty'

Sep 12, 2016 8:29PM PDT

Their Customer service solution appears to be "our failure is your loss". Sent them my Gear S2 watch 2 weeks ago and was told that back of the watch detaching from the housing and letting sweat in was "part of normal use of the product" and not under warranty. So over a warranty complaint on a product that is now the previous generation model they are going to lose a long time committed customer.

Their CS agents are masters of circular reasoning. I state, the glue holding the back on lost adhesion and sweat got in. They say your warranty is not valid because there is corrosion inside the watch caused by moisture. I say sure, because that backing came off. They say, but that's part of normal use.... ? What? The back coming off after 8 months is 'normal'... These guys are unreal. I get to talk to the 3rd party 'repair' shop tomorrow who quoted $400 to fix a $300 watch
