Samsung DLP

Disappointing that my 65 inch tv that is only used minimum for home theater use is going out. Having what appears to be a known issue of the DLP chip going out. Mirrors get stuck causing back or white spots on the screen. Have had no luck with Samsung getting the device fixed or part replaced through them.

Samsung can you step in and help with this issue.

That's a part that

Does wear out. No one ever wrote the part would last forever yet the early failures lead to some extended coverage and here we are many years OOW (out of warranty.) I'm surprised that Samsung can't fix it. Maybe there's more to this story like you asked them to fix it for free?

part of class action lawsuit

Its part of a class action lawsuit. Which you would think they would fix for free

I guess some would feel that way.

I don't want to dive into the suit. You can if you wish but this part does wear out. The action was over early wear out. There are a lot of folk that didn't know it wears out and expected say a decade from the part.

Being that samsung was fixing this for free and claim im slightly past the cut off is fustrating. Guess this will be the last samsung brand of anything i buy which is a shame as i have 3 samsung tvs, samsung fridge, samsung microwave and samsung phone along with whatever samsung products im not thinking about currently.

That time was many years ago.

Internet has a long memory but as we are at how many years later it's well in the range of normal wear out.

-> Be sure to avoid the other makers that used Ti parts. If you want to boycott makers, be sure you know who made this and all those other DLP makers that used the Ti DMD.
