I have a Samsung model HL-P4663WX/XAA. My 16 month old kept turning the Power LED on and off....now, No picture, no sound. Unplugged it, and when plugged back in, The "Timer", "Lamp", "Stand-by/Temp" lights up but does not blink. Still will not power up.

...could we possibly need a new DLP Lamp? The manual states the LED lights should "blink" when the lamp is dying.

thanks!

dberling,

In many cases, reseating (pulling out and re-inserting) the lamp may fix this symptom.

If not, you may need to contact the Samsung customer service center to have your television diagnosed and repaired.

Thanks for the reply...we tried reseating the lamp...and then the "Timer", "Lamp", "Stand-by/Temp" lights would not light up.
Called Samsung..the rep stated we needed a new lamp...replaced the lamp...still the same result..the 3 lights are lit but TV will not power up.
TV is 6 years old...is it just time to upgrade?

Think its time for a new tv. Had the same problem back in March. Went through the same steps you did. Poured good money after bad replacing the lamp . Opted out on having an over priced Samsung repair tech to my house as his service call rates were ludacris . Bought a new LG and love love love it !! I researched the issue endlessly before purchasing a new tv. This is a widespread problem..
