But as I look at part prices at http://www.appliancepartspros.com/search.aspx?model=dw7933 I worry the repair bill will higher than you think.
If it's not covered by warranty, I'd shop for a replacement.
I am furious with my Samsung dishwasher, model dw7933, only 3 years old and dead. It was a lengthy demise. First it never got anything very clean and I had to rinse off all food to avoid a nasty smell and an even worse cleaning job. Drying was dodgy. Then the soap dispenser decided to work sometimes and not others, adding to the poor cleaning job. Finally it quit altogether. I called Samsung and was referred to a local repair shop. if it is the motherboard issue it will be covered by the warranty. But if it is anything else, it is up to me to fix. I have owned 4 or 5 dishwasher in my lifetime and none have given me this grief. What's more I purchased a Samsung microwave at the same time and it quit after 12 months, fortunately within the warranty time. My dilemma, should I throw good money after bad and get it fixed (at my cost unless it is the mother board) or should I call it quits with Samsung and just buy something else. I'm steaming, (unlike my dishwasher).
I think Samsung is getting used to these calls to its customer service department as staff seemed unphased by complaint. Is there anything else to be done besides picket the place? Merran
