Their service support has not improved.
Had swollen battery replaced in a Galaxy S6 twice. The second time I had to pay $200 to have it looked at. Was advised a battery replacement (even if not faulty) should be no more than $110. After 7 weeks, 12 (or 13) phone calls and over 15 hours on the phone, I was told I'll be contacted withing 24-48 hours each time... Not even 1 call back. I requested email notification.. never happened. Even a person handling my case promised to email me that same day... 4 days at time of this writing and still waiting.
Have bought many Samsung goods in the past and bought the S6 as I wanted to avoid being an iPhone sheep.
Never again will I buy a Samsung product. Their penny pinching repair philosophy over $200 will cost them thousands of $ in future sales from me, my family and all my friends that I will talk to.
I bought a Samsung 55" UHDTV 18 months ago. It was running great and suddenly i am seeing colored vertical lines in the middle of the screen. when i called Samsung Customer support about the problem one of the guy helped me to self diagnose and then he created a ticket to local service center.
Then the local repair guy came and took a picture and told it is having bad panel and he would send the report as is and said as there is no physical damage he suggested me to call Samsung and they might consider me a free repair as it is the product defect.
I did call Samsung customer support and spoke to one of the supervisor about the problem and asked for a free repair he said if there is no physical damage i will be covered for free repair.
I again called samsung next day after they got report from local service guy this time its different guy and he said Samsung product manufacturing team has determined its not a product defect and there is a physical damage internally for panel after local support guy himself told me there is no physical damage which is absurd and outrageous.
They are big liars and their customer support is a trash and there is no proper communication and coordination between themselves.
It seems Samsung make products in such away that those will work till warranty and then u will see problems suddenly.
This is my last Samsung Product and no more samsung. Its such a waste!!
Stop buying Samsung they are taking customers for Granted.
A disappointed customer.
