Question

Samsung Curved 55" freezes

Sep 4, 2017 5:16PM PDT

My Samsung 55" curved tv recently started freezing. I can't turn it off, change channels volume etc....
If I unplug the unit it will automatically start and all the controls will work but only for a few minutes and then it freezes again.
If I try changing the volumenothing happens but in a couple minutes the volume may click up by one.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try that last user thing.

Unplug wait a few minutes, plug in and then test. If it fails, call Samsung for what next.
They should check firmware versions, factory reset and remember I can't guess if you have something odd in the USB or other ports.

Beware of Samsung's Curved TV's
Sep 7, 2017 5:24PM PDT

Purchased 55" Samsung Curved TV Jan 1st,2017.
Came with two year warranty. Wish I had read
all reviews online before Buying this TV! Around 8/25/2017
I was watching TV when a crack developed on the
Screen (an internal crack) I called Samsung but
They said the crack was due to "Physical Damage"
And it's not covered under the warranty! They then
Sent out a tech closest to where I live (2 hour drive)
tech used the same phrase (Physical Damage)
Physical Damage !?? I was sitting 10 feet away from set!!! He told me to call Samsung.. spoke to 4 different techs @samsung, they all use the same robotic phrase (physical damage) I then went online
( internal cracks on Samsung Curved tv's and low and behold large numbers of buyers for this tv HAD THE SAME problem and were all told they did
(Here we go again Physical Damage)!! I'm out a
1000.- thank goodness I didn't purchase the extended warranty too! Like some did.
I'm still calling Samsung everyday until they return my hard earned money!!!
Shame on you Samsung!!!!!

Get it checked up

Firstly this should not happen because tv's dont usually crack up automatically, what you can do is turn it off and then reset it fully,i guess this happened because of a electric surge.if it does not work then you will have to pay and get it fixed unfortunately
Take care Happy
