Samsung CLR-300 feed problems

Nov 20, 2008 8:30PM PST

I have had my machine near a year. Off and on I notice it not feeding the paper all the way through on a print job. It will feed a couple inches, setting for the job, then when it does feed, it feeds to about the top slit to the tray, but stops indicating a mis-feed. If I turn off or open a maintenance tray (in rear) and close again, it sets and feeds a partial print, then will refeed a clean copy. But it may take two or three times before it's a clean copy. Is there anything I can do per the settings? Nothing looks wrong. I'm considering returning it within the warantee. thanks.

Make it a warranty issue fast.

You write near a year. Almost all the gear has an one year warranty and for this you must call it in or accept it.

Clean rollers

If the warranty is still valid, use it, up to you. A years use indicates the "pick rollers" are getting worn or paper chad/dusted. Still causes a slippage of grip and thus any pull/push of the paper. There are roller cleaner product that help, "rejuvenate" the rubber/plastic wheels, etc., thus grip better. However, that's your maint. duty to continue on as all printers pretty much suffer sooner or later this problem.
