More info- my wife reminded me that our kids were watching a movie when the problem occurred. She heard the kids complaining about the TV and when she went into the living room the TV was clicking.
Hi all, about two weeks ago my Samsung PN50B450B1DXZA started clicking, but will not turn on. This is the second Samsung plasma screen I own to do this. I replaced the PS on my last one and its been running fine ever since.
For this one I ordered a PS on amazon and it did not solve the problem. Oddly enough, on my last TV the first PS failed on install and the second one did the trick. I figured the odds of another FOI are pretty slim. I have read all of the issues with capacitors and I checked, but all of them look fine.
Any suggestions on what to check for that may be causing the click of death issue assuming the PS is good?
I don't want to spend $400 on a repair. Samsung refuses to cover it. Two out of 3 Samsung TVs now... pretty sure I'm done with Samsung. Just wish I hadn't bought my third one 6 months ago.
Thanks!
