My samsung camera PL120, not working properly after a firmware update. I have downloaded the firmware from the samsung website, there are two updates available at the samsung website. http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/EC-PL120ZBPBUS
Version 1106034 updated went good, but after updating ver.1108304 the lens is coming out but the display is not turning on, when pressing the front display button the display will turn on and I can browse the saved images. I have put the old firmware version in the memory card and when I try to update the firmware using the front camera button + capture button I'm getting the " elf name error" message.
I took the camera to a samsung authorised service center, after examining they said, they need to replace the camera board to get it working.
I want to know if it's the only way I can get the camera working or is there any other way to restore the camera back to the original firmware.
