I can't find much detail but you did have Norton. Let's see that Hijackthis Log file (google about how to create it.) While some things sound like a hardware issue, Norton and other things rarely are gone.
-> I'm using Windows Defender included with W10. It seems to be working and it's scores are up.
I have a Samsung Book 6 that is 2 years old. It has Windows 10 which I installed several months ago.
First problem: Touchscreen stopped working. I used to be able to browse the internet with the touchscreen. I could scroll, click links, zoom in, etc. Now I have lost all of those features. The touchscreen still works on the desktop, but it has lost all functionality in Chrome.
Second problem: The touchpad is super sensitive so most of the time I have to have it turned off or it will register false clicks. Now it will not turn off. Even when I use the FN F5 toggle key the touchpad will work regardless of the setting.
Third Problem: A nice feature of this computer when it was new was the quick start up time. Now it is taking ages to boot up. I have spotify running on start up and half the time it will crash and have to be manually closed out with the task manager.
Fourth Problem: The sleep function is increasingly useless. Upon resuming computer use after sleep, the computer is extremely laggy. This is best seen by the large delay when typing. Most of the time it gets so bad that I have to restart. This was less of a problem when the computer started quickly, but not anymore.
Finally, I know this one is my fault, but I used to have Norton Anti-Virus. Of course it was causing the Windows 10 download to fail. Now I don't have any antivirus. Do good free ones exist? I try to use Spybot but it always crashes during the clean up phase after a scan. I have terrible luck with computers. I liked this Samsung laptop so much more than my old Dell, but now I'm not so sure anymore.
