Question

Samsung Blue-Tooth Keyboard

Jul 14, 2015 5:42AM PDT

My Samsung Model VG-KBD1000 keyboard I seem to have done something so that I cannot type directly from the keyboard onto my tv instead I have inaddition to the normal arrow type pointer a round magnyfying glass/ring which I have to move around on screen keyboard with directions arrows and when I am over a letter/number I hit enter and it types it, anybody know how I can get back to direct working from keyboard of my Blue-tooth keyboard, it was Ok to earlier today and I believe I hit some combination of keys including F4 which may or may not have caused the change?

Samsung Blue-Tooth Keyboard

I have already rang them and after uninstalling and re-installing my keyboard I waited and waited and stopped waiting after 45 mins as I was not getting any where with them. I feel there must be a combination of keys that switch things of and on but who to determine what they are is the key.

Can't find any document on that.

It appears that there is a product failure here. Hopefully it's in warranty and you need to take this up as a warranty repair issue and not support.

My Keyboard problems
Jul 15, 2015 9:12AM PDT

I have spent a long time trying different control sets and have discovered my problem was caused when I changed the language from US to UK, once I put it back to US it returned the use of my Samsung Model VG-KBD1000 keyboard so all is well, how I wish you could get a list of key functions for it?

Was that change in the TV or the Keyboard?

While I have seen region changes on TVs I found no document showing such an option on this keyboard.

I went looking again and Samsung along with the web didn't give up any indication the keyboard had a way to change country codes.

Ug!

Confusion

How I did it:-
From TV remote press Menu - then System - then Device Manager - then Keyboard Settings - then Keyboard Options - Keyboard Language = English, Keyboard Type = US = CLOSE

That changes the TV. And found that on the web.

I was taking your words as if the keyboard had a country change option, not the TV.

There are UK versions of the keyboard but sold in the UK.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. I was looking for undocumented keyboard combo presses.
