I'm sorry to hear this!
I would check to make sure that the unit is plugged all the way in. If it's plugged into a power strip, trying plugging it directly into the wall to see if the symptoms continue.
If the symptoms persit please try hard resetting the player. You can do this by normally pressing and holding the stop button on the player, and going through the on screen set up.

When I turn on my Samsung blu ray player it turns on for a second, the Samsung logo flashes on the screen, then it shuts off. The only way i can get it to turn on is to mess with it by tricking it to open the disc tray and playing a disc but even that takes about a half an hour and a head ache!
