At least one member fixed it and while I wish they had followed the CNET Networking Forum preferred solution, at least they are up and running.
If you follow them they went from WEP to none to WPA. There could be other issues such as too far away from the router but WPA2 can be problematic on some gear and the other issues about MAC FILTERS and hiding the SSID which is not suggested yet people try that (and fail.)
I am not successful with the wifi handshake with my router. The DVD recognizes the hotspot but the security key fails; I have verified the key and it works on many other devices. I have a netgear wndr3300 using WPA2. I have seen other threads that basically looks like it is flaky and may not work or even if it does won't consistently. If it can't work, then I will have to return it. Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.
