I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting discs to play.
Are you resetting the player with the tray disc empty? If not, try that. If it still doesn't work, then it may be an issue where the unit needs to be serviced. If the symptom of not playing discs started after the firmware update, then mention that to the customer service agent at 800-SAMSUNG.
I have tried to reset my Samsung BD-P3600 by holding down the FF button on the player, but although I get the language menu pops up, the player is not reset to the original firmware. I tried this because after installing the latest update, the player will not play any discs - simply saying that the disc is not playable.
