I'm not positive, as I don't have an ETA on any firmware updates. However, it has been noted that other firmware updates are in the works. As soon as we are aware of new updates, we'll post announcements.
This is in response to a note in which Samsung will not be adding the Blockbuster & Youtube streaming to the Samsung BD-P2500. I understand that was not sold as part of the BD-P2500 and though I am not happy about your decision I can accept that. My question is concerning 5.1 surround sound via Netflix. Netflix has been talking about adding 5.1 sound to their streaming for quite awhile now. I know it hasn't happened yet, but if/when they do implement it, would the 2500 be upgraded to take advantage of this? I always thought it would be with the new information about the Youtube/Blockbuster streaming, I am now nervous that Samsung will not upgrade the 2500 even though it does have Netflix streaming already, just in 2.0 stereo.
Also, will there be a firmware fix for the 2009 blu ray players for Watchmen? I had some lip sync issues watching The Watchmen, and was wondering if Samsung is going to continue to support the 2500 with firmware updates to fix these issues.
