It sounds like your unit was reset at some point, since the internet settings and Netflix codes were lost. Resetting the device to Netflix isn't typical of a firmware update, but it's not uncommon for a reset to require that you reconnect it to the internet and Netflix.
Try updating the firmware first before going through all the set up process, and you can download the firmware on a thumb-drive or CD from the Samsung Support website to do this, if you'd like.
I get a call from my wife yesterday saying that the Blu Ray player is skipping ahead by itself, rewinding by itself, and changing scenes by itself on a DVD. I come home and look for an update, I found one, tried to update it and instantly the player fails telling me to check my internet connection. My connection is working fine, and when I go through the network test, the player passes instantly saying I'm online, I then go back to the update, and it tells me that, again, I need to check my internet connection. THEN we tried to open Netflix, we've been using Netflix on this box for months now, and its telling us to go to the website and enter the code shown, like you would when you open Netflix for the first time on the box. TOTALLY stumped, any help?
Also, we have a thumb drive plugged into the back for Blu Ray Live content.
