Samsung BD-P1500 w/Ghost Town

We watched this disc a couple of days ago and at about 1 hour 34 minutes into the movie, the image disappeared (almost appeared that the television lost signal since it seemed to go through a "re-sync" type of thing that it does when the resolution is switched) for just a couple of seconds and then the film continued on fine until the end. I did rewind back to that point again and even while it was "rewinding" the image problem appeared and once I press play it again did the exact same thing at the same point.

Has anyone else watched this film and experienced anything similar? Could this have been a "layer switch" point on the disc (I remember on DVD with my Sony player, the image would freeze for less than a second while layer's switched)?

I've got the player connected via component cables to my Mitsubishi television at 1080i resolution.

We also had a problem with "Redbelt" where the movie would kind of go into a slow motion frame advance type of thing at various points in the movie. Usually pausing and then pressing play again would fix it though.

I checked the discs in both cases and didn't notice any apparent scratches or marks and I have my player connected to the internet and am on the most recently released firmware.

Are these types of problems the kinds of things that would require firmware changes to be fixed?
