Samsung BD-P1500 audio delay

Feb 13, 2009 2:40PM PST

My Samsung BD-P1500 hooked up to my Westinghouse HD TV (LTV-37w2 hd)via HDMI cable. When watching a Blue RAy disc the audio is delayed by a half a sec. I've changed the audio settings on the BD-P1500 player with no success. Any ideas, thoughts, suggestions it's driving me crazy!

alecd69,

It could be the audio processor in the television, though there is no way I could conclusively figure that. Does it have the same delay as if you hooked it up to the television with component cables?

No this only happens with the Blue Ray player, I have a DVD player also connected that doesn't have any audio issues. Could it be the audio settings on the blue ray?

alecd69,

I'm not sure which audio settings would result in a delay. Sounds like it's narrowed down to the Blu-Ray player, but I'm not sure why that issue would appear.

Then I should take it in? I was thinking the issue might be audio through HDMI and I might need to try another audio connection.
