So it does appear to have hit the usual 5 year life span. You will discover repair costs exceed replacement. Your choice to pursue repair but do check that it won't power up on another mains connection.
worked to perfection. However, this did not last... and yesterday it refused
to switch on. There are only 2 connections: one to the mains, the other to
the TV via HDMI. There is a disc with 4 touch sensors on top of the unit they are , clockwise from the bottom Power / Open/Close / Stop / Play/Pause. The power sensor is the ONLY one working, I can switch it on and off but that is all. The remote is totally dead. I really don't understand,
it was working perfectly two days ago. I would welcome your input please
