Samsung BD-C5500 BluRay-player: Cannot install apps

by Claus Appel / January 31, 2016 12:35 PM PST

Hi. Can you help me with a problem?

I have a Samsung BD-C5500 BluRay-player. I am trying to install some apps on it - specifically Vudu. (I have read many places on the web that my model is supposed to support Vudu.)

When I go to Internet@TV -> Samsung Apps on my device, I cannot find this app. Likewise, I cannot find YouTube, Netflix or any other useful apps. I see a very short list of apps containing Plex, SF Anytime, Yupp TV and some others... but nothing I want.

Am I doing something wrong?

(I am in Denmark, in case my region has anything to say.)

Thanks in advance,
Claus

Answer
I went to Samsung.com on that model

And found no mention of the apps you are looking for. Only a note about Pandora.

Could it be this model has few apps?

Well, VUDU claims that the model should support their app. But maybe you are right. Maybe it doesn't.

Thanks for the reply.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
