But a stumbling block is that folk will not believe it's a router or other issue. I've rebooted, reconfigured routers as well as factory reset players. If you feel it's a product failure, just return it if you can to get another one.
As a test I also set up my laptop as a wifi hotspot to check this out (Virtual Router for example.)
Bob
I just purchased a Samsung BD-F5700 blu-ray player a week ago. I was able to connect it to my router and set up the WIFI network without a problem. Starting yesterday I am no longer able to connect the player to the router and get an "Cannot connect to the wireless network" error message. I do not believe it is a problem with the router since I have six other devices that are able to connect to my wireless network. I did try rebooting the router and was able to get the player to connect but as soon as I turned the player off and then back on I got the same error message. When I run the network test it shows a MAC address but nothing for IP address,Subnet mask,Gateway and DNS server. I am concerned that I might have a defective unit. Any advice would be appreciated.
