I own a Netgear WNCE2001 which is sort of nice since I pick up power from a TV's USB port.
Noted at http://www.pchell.com/reviews/netgear_wnce2001.shtml too.
Cheaper if you get the refurb: http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-WNCE2001-Universal-Internet-Adapter/dp/B007CO5DZ4/ref=cnet
I have a pair of these but haven't tried it yet.

Which means I can't share if the USB power trick will work the same.

My Samsung TV (Series 8 Model PS50B850Y1F) will connect to a router by ethernet cable but my house isn't wired and I would like to know whether I can connect it by plugging in a Wifi dongle or similar..?
The manual doesn't make it clear at all. Presumably the ethernet connection would work but I just cant make it.
Thanks
John
